Using a child theme
A child theme lets you customize PHP, templates, and styles without losing changes when the theme updates. It’s the safest way to extend Turbo for long‑term projects.

When to use a child theme
- You want to edit PHP or Blade templates
- You plan ongoing code customizations
- You need to override theme files safely
How to use it
- Install the Turbo Child Theme (see download below)
- Activate it in Appearance → Themes
- Add your changes inside the child theme folder

- Functions: add hooks, filters, or shortcodes
- Templates: override view files
- Styles: add or replace CSS
Important note
Always keep the parent theme updated. Your changes live in the child theme and won’t be overwritten.
