Using a Child Theme

A child theme lets you customize PHP, templates, and styles without losing changes when the theme updates. It’s the safest way to extend Turbo for long‑term projects.

Download the Turbo Child theme here

When to use a child theme

  • You want to edit PHP or Blade templates
  • You plan ongoing code customizations
  • You need to override theme files safely

How to use it

  • Install the Turbo Child Theme (see download above)
  • Activate it in Appearance → Themes
  • Add your changes inside the child theme folder

What to edit

  • Functions: add hooks, filters, or shortcodes
  • Templates: override view files
  • Styles: add or replace CSS

Important note

Always keep the parent theme updated. Your changes live in the child theme and won’t be overwritten.
