Updating Turbo Theme
Turbo updates are distributed directly from our website.
No updates are delivered through the WordPress repository.
Before You Update
- Back up your site (or take a snapshot in your host panel).
- If you made custom changes, use a child theme or Code Snippets so updates don’t overwrite them.
Remember
WordPress can and will change over time. You should never just hit update without a backup.
Make sure you can roll back!
Update the Theme
- Download the latest Turbo Theme from our site.
- In WordPress, go to Appearance → Themes.
- Deactivate Turbo (or switch temporarily to another theme).
- Delete the old Turbo theme folder.
- Upload the new Turbo theme zip and Activate it.
Update the Plugin
- Download the latest Turbo Blocks plugin.
- Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.
- Deactivate Turbo Blocks.
- Delete the old plugin.
- Upload the new plugin zip and Activate it.
Optional: Update the Child Theme
If you use the child theme:
You usually don’t need to update it unless we provide a new version.
Quick Check After Updating
Clear any cache plugins.
Open a page and confirm blocks load correctly.
